Machine Learning and Instrument Autonomy Group

     Dr. Mauceri is a data scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. As a member of the Machine Learning and Instrument Autonomy Group, Dr. Mauceri supports a variety of active and future missions. Currently, Dr. Mauceri is involved in data driven bias correction and radiative transfer emulation for the Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO-2). Additionally, he develops the Autonomous CE-ESI Mass-Spectra Examination (ACME) for the Ocean Worlds Life Surveyor (OWLS).

     Previously, at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, Dr. Mauceri studied solar irradiance variability with the Spectral Irradiance Monitor (SIM) on board the SORCE spacecraft and its successor TSIS SIM on the ISS. He also worked on data driven methods for the retrieval of aerosol optical properties from hyperspectral imagery and was involved in the mechanical design of the telescope for the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) at NASA Ames.
