Machine Learning and Instrument Autonomy Group

Ravi Lanka was a Research Technologist in the Machine Learning and Instrument Autonomy group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology. He was previously a Digital Signal Processing Engineer at Ittiam Systems, Bangalore, India. He received his M.S in Computer Science from Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University and a B.S in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, India.

His research interests lie in developing scalable approaches to combinatorial optimization problems, by leveraging the interplay between machine learning and optimization. His research has been applied to planning and scheduling problems (particularly arising in robotics), radar data processing.
